Jio Financial Services has unveiled SmartGold, a new feature on its JioFinance app, allowing users to invest in digital gold with an entry point as low as ₹10. This new initiative simplifies gold investment, making it more accessible to a wider audience.
SmartGold offers a fully digital process, enabling customers to buy gold in either rupee or gram denominations and redeem their investments for cash, gold coins, or jewelry. For those preferring physical gold, the app allows users to order gold coins directly for home delivery. All gold assets linked to user investments are stored in insured vaults, providing high security.
The app also features live gold market prices, ensuring transparency for users. Redemptions are easy, with physical gold deliveries available for holdings of 0.5 grams or more, offered in various denominations, including 0.5g, 1g, 2g, 5g, and 10g. This launch comes just in time for the traditional Dhanteras buying season, catering to both new and seasoned investors.
